Artist's Comments

I was thinking of drawing an online manga just for the hell of it. I really need to practice drawing background and different poses more... and I hope I can improve in speed...

This is an assignment from my drawing class... The teacher wanted us to practice perspective.
I did a pencil drawing and I shaded it with screentones in Photoshop... I couldn't resist adding colour to the little girl and her dog.. ^_^:floating:

Wow I like this, the way the person stands out like something cheerful and bright on a gloomy day. But I like rainy days the best of all.

cool, love how it leads the eye into the colored little girl becaused of the perspective and colors :P

Nicely done!

kinda reminds me of this movie I watched in school last year about WWI and how it was all black and white except this one girl in a red coat..

Wow, that's a really nice piece! I love your details and all the arrangements of the landscape... very awesome!

its good to see some drawings that include perspective, you are pretty good at it, hope to see it in all ur pieces. :3 That certainly makes ur piece stronger. I was a little worried that you might get too loosen up due to the amount of attention you are getting, looks like you have good art class. Keep up the studies.

The perspective is simply amazing, and the buildings have just enough detail to make them realistic, but little enough to keep the picture from looking crowded. The color in the little girl and the dog catch my eye and adds to the overall piece, I think mainly because they're bright pastel colors in contrast with the gloom and gray of the rain. Great job, and a definite +fav!
